FAAPI 2007

Hello folks. Back in the road again. And this time with a lot to write about.
Yesterday Patricia, Jesica and I came back from the FAAPI, which was held in the province of Jujuy. it has been a wonderful experience because we had the chance to be in contact with other people who are doing the same as you, and sharing with you their experiences and work.

This was my first FAAPI, so I was thrilled with all the the things I saw and listened to. The opening ceremony was really great. After the different speeches, there was a sort of dance with masks and typical customes of Jujuy. It was a group called La Juventud Prolongada, a bunch of young old people who dance together. It was simply beautiful. The overall organization was fantastic. Everything was in time and we were treated very well. Most Jujeños are really nice and willing to help foreigners.

Most of the lectures were excellent. To tell the truth, never in my life had I listented to so many foreigners speaking. And being in contact with them was really useful.
Michael Byram was there. I could not beleive it. The pages of a book came alive with his presence among us. Although we were not able to attend all workshops and lectures, there are many things I could learn, and these people encouraged me to try them with my students because after all this is what is all about: trying to make English lessons more interesting.

Anyway, there is a lot more to be said and told about this experience. I will try to do my best.
