HOW MANY FINGERS DO YOU SEE?

Recently, I have been having some problems. This morning I got up and one more conflict was added to the list. I was blamed for something I did not do, or better to say, for something I am not. For some minutes, I had to sit and listen how one member of my family was criticizing me. And I felt impotent because what she was saying was not true. I tried to stay calm and go away. When a person goes through these situations which are part of life, the only solution is to stay and fight or think that there is an Eye that watches everything and knows everything. At this moment, I have to say that I chose the second option because I do not like to shout and fight. This is not part of my personality.
Anyway, I did a great effort to see eight fingers instead of eight. I think this is the only way not to be devastated by other people's behaviours and attitudes. Looking beyond problems helps you see the solution more clearly and to realize that there is always a way out, I guess.
This idea was taken from the film Patch. Arthur Mendelson, one of Patch's friends at the mental clinic, comes up with this view, which in the end was of great importance to Patch when he had to face difficulties.
At the end of the movie, when Patch Adams is at the trial with all the other doctors and students he says out loud that he wanted to be a doctor with all his heart. And I guess that I should say I want to be a teacher with all my heart.
I know I cannot prevent trobles from appearing but I hope I have the strenght to overcome them. And grow up because of its consequences.
